Side story: I went with my hubby on a work trip to Vegas for a night this week (so much fun). One of the planned activities was taking a tour of the Zappos facility, seeing Tony Hsieh’s (CEO and author of “Delivering Happiness”) downtown Vegas apartment, hearing more about his “Downtown Project”, and learning more about the culture of the company.

I never put together that 6PM was owned by Zappos, but I got to see their offices too. Huge indicator of the deals: employees get a 40% discount to Zappos, but just a 20% discount to 6PM. 🙂

Shameless plug: Since we’re on the subject of my awesome hubby who is so supportive of my site and my hobby to help people “live life better for less”, I thought I’d mention the company he runs, Markham Contracting. If you ever know anyone who needs any dirt work done (roads, freeways, subdivision grading, solar plants, etc.), please encourage them to give Markham a call. They always get comments of how they are the easiest to work with and get the job done right on time (or early in a lot of cases). They did the dirt work for the new Cubs spring training facility and extended the I-17 to Anthem (along with a lot of other projects).
