I have to say I wasn’t overly impressed by the Office Max ad this week. The one good deal is on backpacks. First, join the MaxPerks rewards program (it’s free and you can apply here or in store). Then pick out an eligible backpack you like (usually priced at $29.99-$59.99). You’ll pay full price now, but get MaxPerks rewards at the end of August good to use at Office Max for a penny less than what you paid. So if you bought a $29.99 backpack, you’d get $29.98 in MaxPerks.
Don’t get too excited like I did if you see the ful Sweet Melissa backpack. It says it’s marked down to $29.99 and you get $39.98 in MaxPerks savings, but I called and they confirmed that the MaxPerks offer is lowered to whatever you pay. Still a sweet deal, but not quite as sweet!
I recommend getting this deal in store so your kids can pick the backpacks they like best. If you do choose to shop online, be sure to go through Ebates first so you get 3% back!
