You can also choose the “Truly Boulders” package. This deal is a bit more expensive, but waives the resort fee (a $30 value), gives you a $25 food and beverage credit, 20% off spa services, and free golf club rentals.
There are a couple of walking paths with gorgeous views that we took. You hike directly through the boulders! At the pool, there’s a beautiful, natural-looking waterfall that trickles along the boulders.
The ambiance was wonderful, the views were beautiful, the service was top notch, but what really surprised us was the food. It was so fresh and delicious (a huge step up from most resort food we’re used to). The manager told us at breakfast that they have hives on property to make their own honey. They use the prickly pear cactus on site for many of their dishes and drinks. We went to the Spotted Donkey for dinner and Mike was very impressed with the Carne Asada. For breakfast, we went to Palo Verde and I loved the french toast.
The golf course is beautiful, lush, and completely green (even in the dead of summer). The place is so quiet and charming, you just relax the moment you step on property.
